1. Pick the package that fits your needs.
2. Fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
3. We schedule a get-to-know you meeting and discuss your wants-wishes for your website.
4. I prepare a simple Scope of Work we both sign off on.
5. You pay a little deposit (15% of the total package price is required).
6. Work begins. I present you with your website design.
7. You approve or request adjustments (package includes one round of changes).
8. Web design is approved by you, I get to work.
9. Completed website is ready for review; testing and any last copy tweaks are made.
10. With your final approval, your website is launched!

WordPress is a content management system (CMS) and blogging tool that allows you to easily manage the content on your site as often as you wish saving you time and money. WordPress currently powers 37% of the web with its intuitive interface and vast community. It’s completely open source you so you are free to do whatever you want with it. That’s one of the reasons why I love it.
A Word About Website Packages
I want you to have a website that beautifully reflects your business, whether you are an artist, a woman-owned start-up or a small business. That’s where good web design comes in. For every website, I effectively integrate your unique brand personality into every page.
Package pricing is based on you having written content ready to go. While I supply relevant stock imagery for websites, nothing beats authenticity than custom photography and is well worth the investment. For more info. check out the FAQs below.
Frequently Asked Questions
What If I Don’t Have A Domain Name for My Website?
No worries! I can guide you through this process. Most important is to land on a domain name that matches your business name as close as possible. Rule of thumb: Domain names should be no longer than 13 characters to make them easy to remember. Many web hosting companies give you the option to register a domain name as well as hosting your website.
What About Web Hosting?
I can help you with this process, too! Not all hosting website companies (also known as ISPs) are created equal. Because I design WordPress websites, I recommend web hosting companies that WordPress highly recommends. My two personal favorites are BlueHost and SiteGround.
I’m Not Much of a Writer. Can You Help Me With Content?
Yes. I’m great at brand messaging and writing concise copy. If you have existing copy but aren’t loving it, I can finesse your prose to perfection. However, if your needs are more technical or require extensive keyword research, then I can bring in a writer who specializes in your field for help. Note: Web copy creation is an added cost and is not included in the website package pricing.
What About Visuals for My Website?
While I believe that custom photography is the best way to go to visually represent your business and your brand, for some, it can be cost prohibitive. That’s why I provide image search and access to relevant free-to-afforable stock imagery and videos. Selection is based on your brand, relevancy and purpose.
However, just investing in yours and your teams headshots can go a long way to making your website more authentic. If you are local, I can recommend talented photographers who specialize in capturing the most camera-shy professionals.
I Have An Existing Website, But It’s Not a WordPress Website.
That’s OK! If you’re not happy with your existing website because it lacks a CMS, isn’t responsive or its design feels dated, then maybe its time for a refresh and move over to WordPress.
I can extract your existing web content to incorporate into a refreshed WordPress website design. This is a good time to conduct a website audit as well — determine what content should stay, what should be updated, what needs to be improved, or omitted all together.
What About SEO? (Getting My Website Found Online)
I employe best practices for SEO when building websites. That means using H tag hierarchy, image alt tags, setting unique page titles and descriptions using focus keywords and phrases, etc. This is considered basic organic SEO that all web designers should provide.
However, SEO is a science and specialty all its own and there are experts in which web SEO is their main gig.
That said, I do my professional best though I can not guarantee what level of ranking your website will have with search engines. If this is imporant to you, it begins with the quality of your content and keyword research. It also means bringing in a said SEO expert to take your website to the next level.
NOTE: High level SEO is not included in the website package pricing.
How Long Will It Take to Build My Website?
Web design takes (on average) 5 business days. Developing the website can take 5-10 business days (on average). It also depends on where you are at. Having written content and any visual content you can provide helps speed up the process.
How Long Have You Been Building Websites?
I started teaching myself HTML and CSS to build simple but elegant websites for small businesses and nonprofits back in 1999. As the world moved towards using their mobile devices, websites had be responsive to be useful and clients wanted websites that had CMS. So in 2015 I took the leap and started building websites using WordPress. So you could say I have been building websites for a very long time.
