We believe that good design evolves from good relationships, those between designer and client — between brand and customer. We believe that in order for a brand to evolve and endure, good design must be at its foundation. We believe in good work, doing good deeds and making clients happy.

We are a creative studio that works intimately with growing companies, organizations and individuals to give them a visual voice to the essence, purpose and integrity of their brands. We value creative partnerships, the entrepreneurial spirit and the heart that commits to serving a greater good.

The Company

Launched in 1996, Grand Ciel Branding & Design is a creative studio specializing in just that: creating unique brand personalities with careful vision on their application to ensure a seamless brand experience across offline and online media channels.

Our company’s name symbolizes its core ambition: the literal French translation of Grand Ciel is “Big Sky.” As creative professionals, we strive to keep our minds and eyes wide open to what’s possible and to stretch our imagination far out to the horizon. We strive to break out of conventional thinking and blend the disciplines of design, art and storytelling.

Founder & Chief Creative Officer

Kristin Maija Peterson runs all operations and functions as idea generator for Grand Ciel Branding & Design. Her mind-set is to “Think Big” for her clients and loves the impact good design and branding can bring. She is passionate about creating unique brand personalities that help build recognition and work elegantly into her clients’ overall marketing landscape.

Kristin describes herself as an illustrative art director, artist, writer, closest biologist, environmentalist, perpetual student and animal lover. Besides authoring posts for Grand Ciel Branding & Design, she writes and showcases her artwork at 52 Weeks: Word With Water & Color.
